Coincidentally, on the same day that we heard this we had recorded two podcasts. The first about what male leaders can to do to own up to deal with their own shit when it comes to working with and/or leading a team of women. And the second about a young woman of color who has successfully advanced her career in a white, male organization.
Do please watch out for those podcast episodes in the coming couple of weeks. All men have important women in their lives. If they have female partners and family members who they do treat with respect, why do some men assume it is okay to treat women in the workplace with such disdain?
What we know is that some men need to do a lot of work to know themselves and to understand how to interact better with women they work with, and particularly women they lead. The time is now. Own your shit because we demand better.
